The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an educational program recognized for its comprehensive approach and commitment to academic excellence. This research aims to evaluate the feasibility and benefits of implementing the IB in public educational institutions in Peru, with the purpose of transforming the educational service and raising the quality standards in teaching. Using a qualitative approach of a basic type and descriptive level, the in-depth interview technique was used, supported by a guide designed specifically for this study. The results reveal deficiencies in the current educational standards in public institutions and the need to strengthen teacher training to ensure effective implementation of the program. Likewise, the importance of incorporating innovative methodologies and technological tools to optimize learning spaces and enhance the development of skills in students was identified. The research concludes that the International Baccalaureate is not only a program of high educational impact but also represents a key opportunity to connect students and teachers with global educational communities, promoting innovation and pedagogical excellence. Its implementation could mark a turning point in Peruvian public education, by offering an educational model aligned with international standards.Downloads
