    Vol. 2 No. 13 (2025)

    In 2025, the LACCEI International Multiconference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (LEIRD 2025) was held under the theme “Entrepreneurship with Purpose: Social and Technological Innovation in the Age of AI.”

    The conference was organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions in a hybrid format in Cartagena, Colombia, hosted at Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar (UTB), Manga campus, from December 1 to 3, 2025. The event brought together academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and policymakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond.

    LEIRD 2025 focused on fostering entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and regional development through the integration of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, and their application to societal challenges. The conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the development of strategies to strengthen institutional and regional capabilities in innovation and technology transfer.

  • LACCEI 2025

    In 2025, within the framework of the collaboration between the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions and Asociación Nacional de Facultades y Escuelas de Ingeniería, the joint development of the 23rd LACCEI International Multiconference for Engineering, Education and Technology was carried out under the theme “Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Sustainable Technologies in Service of Society.”

    The conference was organized in a virtual format, with Mexico City as the host location, bringing together academic institutions, researchers, industry representatives, and policymakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions. The event promoted collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of engineering education, research, and innovation ecosystems aligned with current global challenges.

    In 2024, the LACCEI International Multiconference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (LEIRD 2024) was held under the theme “Creating Solutions for a Sustainable Future: Technology-Based Entrepreneurship.”

    The conference was organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions in a virtual format from December 2 to 4, 2024, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators, academics, industry representatives, and policymakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions.

    LEIRD 2024 focused on promoting entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and regional development through technology-based solutions addressing sustainability challenges. The event provided an international platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, research results, and collaborative initiatives related to innovation, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurial development in the context of global transformations.

  • LACCEI 2024

    Vol. 1 No. 10 (2024)

    In 2024, within the framework of the collaboration between the Organization of American States and the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions, the joint development of The OAS Summit of Engineering for the Americas and the 22nd LACCEI International Multi-Conference for Engineering, Education and Technology was carried out under the theme “Sustainable Engineering for a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Future at the Service of Education, Research, and Industry for a Society 5.0.”

    The conference was held in a hybrid format in San José, Costa Rica, from July 17 to 19, 2024, bringing together academic institutions, researchers, students, industry representatives, and policymakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions. The event promoted international collaboration, engineering education, research, innovation, and sustainable technological development aligned with the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and Society 5.0.

    The conference served as an international platform for the presentation of refereed full papers, work-in-progress papers, student papers, keynote lectures, and collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening engineering and technology ecosystems in support of sustainable development and societal transformation.

    In 2023, the LACCEI International Multiconference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (LEIRD 2023) was held under the theme “Igniting the Spark of Innovation: Emerging Trends, Disruptive Technologies, and Innovative Models for Business Success.”

    The conference was organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions in a virtual format from December 4 to 6, 2023, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators, academics, industry representatives, and policymakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions.

    LEIRD 2023 focused on emerging trends in entrepreneurship and innovation, disruptive technologies, and new business models designed to foster sustainable economic growth and regional development. The conference provided an international forum for presenting research findings, technological initiatives, entrepreneurial experiences, and collaborative projects aimed at strengthening innovation ecosystems and promoting technology-based development.

  • LACCEI 2023

    Vol. 1 No. 8 (2023)

    In 2023, working within the framework of the LACCEI-CONFEDI inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement and in collaboration with the OAS, the joint development was initiated in a hybrid format of the conferences: “OAS Summit of Engineering for the Americas”, the “21st LACCEI International Multiconference for Engineering, Education and Technology”, the “4th Latin American Congress of Engineering”, and the “2nd Latin American and Caribbean Tribology Conference” . It was held in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and organized by Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (FIUBA), Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN).
