Attitude towards the use of ICT and professor's performance in the classroom

There is evidence that ICTs are considered tools that help boost learning, especially because in recent years their use has become widespread as a result of mandatory virtual education; so it is possible that it is linked to the evaluation of professors' performance. In this context, the general objective of this research was to know the statistical relationship between the attitude towards the use of ICT and the classroom performance of engineering professors. The research was developed under the quantitative approach, correlational scope and non-experimental cross-sectional design; the effective sample being 98 professors with an academic load in one of the engineering majors. The results indicate that there is a positive, high and significant relationship (r = .683, p < .00) between attitude towards ICT and performance in the classroom; Furthermore, all dimensions of attitude towards ICT also obtain a positive correlation with professors' performance. Additionally, it has been observed that professors who teach in the industrial engineering degree stand out for presenting higher scores in the affective dimension of attitude towards ICT and in the performance variable; Finally, it was found that younger professors have higher scores in the two variables studied.Descargas
