Resumen

In this scientific article, the research focuses on making known about semiotics in architecture, in the same way on explaining its characteristics, being applied in architectural projects where a mental and emotional “game” is played, which consists of express or communicate through the project, so that the user establishes a close interaction with the space and the message of the project. That said, the use of colors, shapes, textures and lighting is explained; which fulfill specific functions that influence the behavior, thinking, sensations and emotions of the people who use spaces with these characteristics. Semiotics being a little-known topic but present everywhere, its relationship with architecture is exposed to generate spaces with meaning, thus being able to generate a more intimate or personal relationship between the architectural object and the users.
