The purpose of this article is to identify urban mobility patterns in the city of Quito-Ecuador, applying clustering algorithms to geolocation data and consumption of mobile services of customers during the month of May for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The study integrates geolocation data with demographic and consumption information to examine variations in mobility patterns among different population groups and geographic areas. Using a non-experimental, cross-sectional research design, clustering models were developed to classify users with common mobility and mobile data usage behaviors. The results reveal significant differences in mobility patterns influenced by socioeconomic factors and the COVID-19 pandemic, providing valuable information for telecommunications operators in infrastructure and service planning. The findings underscore the importance of flexibility and adaptability in telecommunications services and the crucial role of data analysis in strategic decision making.Downloads
