The objective of this research is to design a laboratory program to improve the critical-technological capacity in students of the introductory course to mechatronic engineering at a university in Lima. A methodology based on an interpretive and socio-critical paradigm was used, with a qualitative approach of applied educational type, descriptive design and cross-sectional study. Instruments such as a semi-structured interview guide, a pedagogical test and a practice guide were used to collect information. The theoretical approach is based on developing critical-technological capacity through the constructivist approach because learning is based on the sum of the student's maturation and experimentation [1]. As a proposal for action, a laboratory program with a cognitive and technological focus was proposed in order to promote critical thinking skills linked to the evaluation, planning and development of engineering projects. Finally, it is concluded that the laboratory program aims to develop critical-technological capacity using the project-based learning method and strengthen students' soft skills.Downloads
