This research analyzes the level of compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals in the industry sector, with emphasis on SDGs 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, due to their relationship with production practices and the environmental impact of the industry sector. Through a mixed approach methodology based on literature review, there were identified progress and gaps in the implementation of the SDGs in the different industry sectors. The results reveal that SDG 13, climate action, shows the highest level of compliance, while SDG 7, affordable and clean energy, reflects the largest gaps. The most common strategies are linked to technological innovation, although significant challenges remain, such as financial barriers, infrastructure limitations and a weak organizational culture. Considering this situation, guidelines are proposed to facilitate the adoption of SDG 7 in the industry. These guidelines include normative, technological, financial and educational-training guidelines for the implementation of the SDG 7.Downloads
