Strategic Organizational Capabilities and Supply Chain Performance in the Cloud of Ecuadorian Port SMEs

Resumen

The port business sector in Guayaquil currently faces challenges in optimizing its supply chain (SC), as existing organizational capabilities do not take full advantage of the available tools. The lack of familiarity with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the use of the cloud has led some entrepreneurs to lose competitiveness in the market. The combination of strong organizational capabilities and efficient supply chain management in the cloud emerges as a key strategy to boost the performance of port SMEs. This study seeks to determine the relationship between organizational strategic capabilities and cloud supply chain implementation in Ecuadorian port SMEs. The methodology to be used in the research is based on a quantitative approach that has a descriptive and correlational scope; in order to deepen the analysis of the implementation of strategic organizational capabilities and their relationship with CS the cloud. The objective is to understand the factors that directly impact this process, maximizing the use of the cloud to improve efficiency in the supply chain. In addition, the research highlights the advantages of adopting technologies that automate processes, increasing productivity and reducing costs. The results obtained will offer Ecuadorian port SMEs new perspectives to more effectively focus their organizational capabilities and improve their competitive position.
