This document presents the design and implementation of a prototype automated system for the collection, storage and monitoring of some physical-chemical characteristics of rainwater in a home. For the development of the problem, the amount of water used daily in an average household, the average annual rainfall in the city of Villavicencio (Colombia), in addition, the uses that can be given to rainwater, according to the quality of water determined, were taken into account. The automation process is executed by means of an ESP-32 development board and the process sequence is presented in a Process Flow Diagram (PFD). Finally, with the help of the Human Machine Interface (HMI), the real-time status of the system is displayed, indicating the status of the actuators and reading of the level of the water storage tanks, pH level, turbidity level and electrical conductivity of the water to be distributed in the home, projecting an indication of the quality of the water collected. The designed system effectively performs the established processes, giving alternative to the use of rainwater. This system allows to reduce the consumption of water in the home, also reducing the demand for water from surface or underground sources and the dependence on the supply of centralized systems and associated impacts.Descargas
