Abstract

At present, adventure tourism plays a significant role in Latin American countries due to its wide geographical diversity, which allows the practice of various exciting activities. As is known, tourism has an impact on economic development and the conservation of natural resources. In this study, the current situation of adventure tourism in Latin America will be deepened, using the PRISMA method as a tool to synthesize relevant information. The results revealed a trend of constant growth in adventure tourism in the region, where tour operators are working on creating innovative packages and improving the development of activities in areas with abundant natural wealth. This demonstrates an approach towards the diversification of the tourist offer and the sustainable exploitation of natural resources in the region. In conclusion, adventure tourism in Latin America is in a stage of growth and evolution, taking full advantage of its potential to provide exciting experiences and contribute to the sustainable development of the regio
