The design of low-cost energy storage devices with high energy and potential densities become a scientific challenge, nowadays. Herein, it reports the conversion of residual biomass into graphene-based materials and their application in the design of electrochemical double-layer supercapacitors (EDLSCs). Graphene-based electrodes are obtained from sugar cane bagasse and orange peel through thermal treatment in an inert atmosphere. Both materials are used in the assembly of coin-type EDLSCs and the influence of the crimper pressure on the electrical properties of the energy store devices is discussed.Downloads
