Abstract

The study assessed the relationship between business intelligence and supplier payment timeliness in the Metropolitan Solidarity System, San Isidro, Lima, 2024. Through surveys of 30 public servants and statistical analysis, including linear regression, it was found that there is no significant relationship between the two variables, leading to the rejection of the alternative hypothesis. Regression coefficients B0 = 1.600 and B1 = 0.050 with a p-value of 0.000 indicated a very weak relationship. The Pearson correlation test showed a slight negative correlation (-0.018). Analysis revealed that 23.3% of respondents perceived a moderate relationship between business intelligence and supplier payment timeliness. The dimensions of technological and functional maturity showed medium levels of relationship, while organizational maturity scored low. Limitations such as lack of familiarity with the concept of business intelligence and potential cognitive biases were identified, suggesting the need to enhance understanding and utilization of this tool within the evaluated entity. In conclusion, business intelligence was not a determining factor in supplier payment timeliness. Exploring other influencing factors and improving the integration of business intelligence into organizational culture are recommended for future research.
