The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted education, leading to the adoption of remote, virtual and hybrid modalities. This article focuses on analyzing the academic performance of first-semester students in the Differential Calculus and Reader Comprehension Workshop courses between the years 2021 and 2023 of the engineering faculty versus the business school. The objective is to identify possible academic disparities that have arisen after the pandemic, providing valuable data for educational decision-making. The comparison between the faculties will allow us to discern differences in adapting first-semester students to the new educational paradigm, offering information to improve educational quality and promote inclusive policies. The study seeks to understand students' challenges and project a clear outlook for the educational institution in the post-pandemic scenario.Downloads
