Resumen

The objective of this research was to determine the stress levels of the students of the Faculty of Engineering of the Centro Universitario Tecnológico, Tegucigalpa, using the SISCO Inventory of academic stress defining the frequency and percentage for the student profile, stressors, physical and psychological reactions and coping strategies. It was found that the stress level of the students is moderate, the most frequent stressful situations are the concern about assignments, exams and the little time to perform them; regarding the symptoms presented, permanent tiredness, drowsiness and listlessness stand out. The most used strategies are the organization of time; most of the students do not resort to peer support or psychological help in times of stress. It is intended to continue this study and contrast it with other careers and sites of the University.
