Abstract: In Cajamarca, traditional irrigation methods cause significant water losses, adversely affecting agricultural productivity. This project proposes the implementation of an automated irrigation system using soil moisture sensors and solar energy, deployed in La Colpa village. Through sensors, microcontrollers, and solenoid valves, the system efficiently and sustainably manages irrigation. The methodology was applied, with a quantitative and experimental approach, implemented in a 20 m2 vegetable crop plot. Results showed a 45% reduction in water consumption, a 25% average increase in agricultural productivity, and complete replacement of electrical energy with solar power, generating economic savings and environmental benefits. The high satisfaction of local farmers confirms the system’s viability as a replicable model for sustainable rural agricultural development.Descargas
