This study aims to promote sustainable development by contributing to decent work and economic growth, seeking full and productive employment. The research objective was to determine the relationship between extrinsic motivation and work engagement in textile workshops. The research used a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, descriptive correlational approach, and hypothetical-deductive method. The population consisted of 80,183 employees of the Gamarra Commercial Emporium, and the sample consisted of 382. Based on the results and descriptive and inferential analyses, a relationship was established between the variables extrinsic motivation and work engagement. Therefore, it is concluded that motivation and work engagement are related.Downloads
