In 2026, within the framework of the collaboration between the Organization of American States and the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions, The OAS Summit of Engineering for the Americas and the 24th LACCEI International Multi-Conference for Engineering, Education and Technology were jointly held under the theme “Engineering without Borders: Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge, Innovation, and Alliances for a Future from the Americas.”
The conference was held in a hybrid format in Santiago de Chile, Chile, from July 15 to 17, 2026, hosted by LACCEI and CONDEFI. The event brought together academic institutions, researchers, students, industry representatives, government officials, and international organizations from Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions.
LACCEI 2026 promoted international and regional collaboration in engineering education, research, innovation, and technological development, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, knowledge creation, and strategic alliances. The conference provided an international platform for the presentation and discussion of research, educational experiences, technological developments, and collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening engineering capabilities and addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the Americas.
