The technological advances that have taken place in the industrial sector in recent years are increasingly demanding highly trained personnel. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to design a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) training program to strengthen professional competencies in university technical education. The program aims to train professionals for both the industry and the pedagogical field from the Bolivarian University of Ecuador. The methodology employed was quantitative, with a non-experimental, field-type design with a descriptive level. The sample consisted of 45 students from the master's program in Pedagogy with a focus on Technical and Professional Education, to whom a dichotomous questionnaire containing 16 questions was administered. The main results revealed a lack of knowledge in computer numerical control, as well as a lack of strategies to strengthen professional competencies in this technology. Therefore, it is concluded that, without corrective actions, graduates in this specialization will lack knowledge relevant to both the industrial and pedagogical domains. It is suggested to implement learning strategies such as the proposed training program to address these deficiencies.Downloads
