Resumen

The project develops an automated device for bending wires up to 2 mm in diameter, using low-cost technology. The machine combines mechanical and electronic design to ensure functionality and simplicity. On the mechanical side, the design was made with Autodesk Inventor, and the main parts, such as the bending shaft and smoothing rollers, were analyzed with ANSYS Workbench to validate their strength. These parts were manufactured using 3D printing with inexpensive filaments, to reduce costs. The structure allows for a bending shaft operating range of -110° to 110°, suitable for different bending configurations. On the electronic side, NEMA 17 motors, A4988 controllers and an ESP32 were integrated. The system uses a dual source of 5V, 12V and 3.3V. The user interface was developed with Blynk IoT, allowing intuitive remote control from mobile devices. During implementation, tests were carried out that ensured accuracy and repeatability, with a margin of error of ±2 mm and a maximum capacity of 50 mm per operation. The results demonstrated the feasibility of the design, identifying improvements such as the use of more resistant materials, additional sensors and a greater operating range. This project stands out for its focus on economic sustainability and technological accessibility, representing an innovative solution for bending processes in low-budget environments. Future proposals include expanding the system's capabilities, optimizing accuracy, and improving the durability of critical parts.
