The analysis of the water quality index of the Guacerique River in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, aims to identify pollution sources and evaluate water quality through physicochemical and microbiological analyses. Key aspects include sampling procedures, differences between stations, and method validity. Statistical techniques, such as ANOVA, and tools like Microsoft Excel were used for data analysis. The methodology involved a pilot phase and expert triangulation to ensure result accuracy and validity. Sampling procedures were reviewed and validated for effectiveness. Ongoing results will focus on parameters such as pH, temperature, total coliforms, turbidity, nutrients, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), and total solids. This research will provide a more comprehensive understanding of the Guacerique River's water quality and valuable insights for environmental management and public health.Downloads
