Abstract

The purpose of this work was to compare the design and modeling of Pachacutec, Libertad and Eucaliptos streets using the traditional methodology and the Virtual Design and Construction - Building Information Modeling (VDC-BIM) methodology. The descriptive research had as a unit of study the road project of the mentioned streets. Likewise, the design and modeling of the roads was carried out, following the process of each methodology and analyzing each procedure based on the criteria of visual management. The results show that the use of the VDC-BIM methodology adds a new value to the exhibition of the project, since it presented the information digitally being the new model more understandable and accessible to the imagination.
